Beta Program Agreement

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Plain-English summary (the legal text below controls): You are getting early access to StrideVoice before its commercial launch. The product works, but it is prerelease software: features may change, misbehave, or be removed, and there is no uptime guarantee during the beta. You need to keep an eye on what the AI does — especially appointments it books — and you must not rely on it for emergencies or payment collection. Either of us can end the beta at any time. Beta participation does not automatically become a paid subscription, and beta pricing does not lock in future pricing.

This Beta Program Agreement (“Beta Agreement”) supplements the StrideVoice Terms of Service and applies to Customers accepted into the StrideVoice beta / design partner program.

1. The Beta Program

The StrideVoice beta program (the “Beta Program”) is a limited, invitation-only program in which selected home service businesses (“Beta Customers” or “Design Partners”) use the StrideVoice AI phone agent platform (the “Services”) in production before general commercial availability, and provide feedback that shapes the product.

Participation in the Beta Program begins when StrideVoice confirms your acceptance in writing (email is sufficient) and you first use the Services, and continues until terminated as described in Section 11 (the “Beta Period”).

During the Beta Period, all features of the Services are considered beta features, whether or not they are individually labeled as “beta,” “preview,” or “experimental.”

2. Relationship to the Terms of Service

This Beta Agreement supplements — it does not replace — the StrideVoice Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and Acceptable Use Policy, each of which applies in full to your use of the Services during the Beta Period.

If this Beta Agreement conflicts with the Terms of Service, this Beta Agreement controls during the Beta Period. The Service Level Agreement does not apply to Beta Customers at all (see Section 4).

3. Prerelease Software

You acknowledge that during the Beta Period the Services are prerelease software. Without limiting the disclaimers in the Terms of Service:

  • Features may contain errors, produce inaccurate results, behave unpredictably, or fail entirely;
  • Features may be added, materially changed, or removed at any time without prior notice;
  • AI agent behavior may change between calls as we tune prompts, models, and voice settings during the Beta Period;
  • The Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or unplanned outages, with or without notice;
  • Beta features have not completed the testing, hardening, and third-party validation planned for general availability.

You should maintain a working fallback for your phone lines (for example, the ability to disable call forwarding to StrideVoice and answer calls directly) and be prepared to use it if the Services misbehave.

4. No SLA or Uptime Commitment

The StrideVoice Service Level Agreement (stridevoice.com/sla) does not apply to Beta Customers, Design Partners, free trials, or any account not on a paid production subscription. During the Beta Period:

  • StrideVoice makes no uptime or availability commitment;
  • No service credits accrue or are payable;
  • Incident response is provided on a commercially reasonable, best-effort basis;
  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may occur at any time.

We do operate automated uptime monitoring and a public status page (status.stridevoice.com), and we will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant outages to Beta Customers promptly.

5. Scope of Beta Use

During the Beta Period, the Services are offered for the following scope of use. StrideVoice may expand or restrict this scope in writing for individual Beta Customers:

  • Inbound calls only. The AI agent answers inbound calls to your business number. AI-initiated outbound calling is not part of the Beta Program. (Operator-initiated features, such as texting callers back or placing a call yourself through the platform, are not AI-initiated outbound calls.)
  • No emergency use. You must not rely on the Services as your mechanism for receiving or dispatching life-safety emergencies. The AI agent is not a substitute for 911. Configure your emergency escalation paths (on-call transfer numbers) and verify them, but do not treat them as fail-safe during the beta.
  • No payment collection.The AI agent must not be used to collect payment card or bank account information from callers. The platform’s automated redaction of financial data (see the Security page) remains active, but it is a safety net, not a payment channel.
  • No regulated-industry use. The Beta Program is offered for general home service trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar). It is not offered for use cases subject to sector-specific regulation of communications or data (for example, healthcare/HIPAA, legal services, financial services, debt collection, or political calling).

6. Customer Oversight Obligations

Human oversight is a condition of Beta Program participation. During the Beta Period you agree to:

  • Verify appointments. Independently confirm every appointment the AI agent books (in your calendar and with the customer where appropriate) before dispatching crews or committing resources. Do not treat AI-booked appointments as confirmed until you have reviewed them;
  • Review calls regularly. Review call summaries and transcripts in the console at least weekly (daily is recommended early in the Beta Period) and report incorrect or inappropriate AI behavior to us;
  • Keep your configuration accurate. Maintain current business hours, service areas, pricing guidance, and knowledge base content — the AI represents your business using what you configure;
  • Use the off switch when needed. If the AI agent is misbehaving, disable call forwarding to your StrideVoice number (or contact us to disable the agent) rather than letting it continue to take calls.

StrideVoice also reviews beta call quality internally and may suspend an agent, a feature, or the Services for your account immediately if we believe continued operation poses a risk to you, your callers, or the platform.

7. Beta Fees and Future Pricing

Beta pricing (which may be free, discounted, or as otherwise agreed in writing) applies only during the Beta Period. Beta pricing does not establish or guarantee the pricing of any future paid subscription, and published pricing at stridevoice.com/pricing may change before or at general availability.

Your beta participation does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. At the end of the Beta Period, continued use of the Services requires a new, affirmative subscription agreement at then-current pricing. We will not charge your payment method for a subscription without your explicit agreement.

8. Feedback

Meaningful feedback is the core exchange of the Beta Program. You agree to make reasonable efforts to participate in feedback conversations (for example, a short check-in call or written feedback on a regular cadence) and to report bugs and unexpected AI behavior when you encounter them.

You grant StrideVoice a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use feedback, suggestions, and ideas you provide about the Services without restriction or compensation, consistent with Section 9.3 of the Terms of Service. Feedback does not include your Customer Content or your callers’ personal data.

9. Confidentiality and Publicity

Non-public features, roadmap information, pricing discussions, and performance characteristics of the Services disclosed to you during the Beta Period are StrideVoice Confidential Information under Section 10 of the Terms of Service. Do not publish reviews, benchmarks, or feature descriptions of non-public functionality without our prior written consent.

Neither party will use the other’s name, logo, or participation in the Beta Program in marketing materials, case studies, or public statements without the other party’s prior written consent (email is sufficient).

10. Data Protection

The Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement apply in full during the Beta Period. In particular:

  • Every AI-answered call opens with a platform-level greeting that identifies the agent as an AI assistant and discloses that the call may be recorded. This disclosure cannot be disabled;
  • Call recording is on by default and controlled per agent from your console. Callers who verbally decline recording have recording stopped mid-call. You remain responsible for the consent requirements in the Acceptable Use Policy;
  • On termination of your beta participation, the data export and deletion process in the Data Processing Agreement applies the same as it would for a paid account.

Because beta features change quickly, we may review call transcripts and AI behavior for your account more frequently than we would for production accounts, solely to operate, debug, and improve the Services for you. This review stays within the processing scope described in the Privacy Policy and DPA.

11. Term and Termination

Either party may terminate Beta Program participation at any time, for any reason or no reason, by written notice (email is sufficient). StrideVoice may also suspend the Services immediately as described in Section 6 or the Terms of Service.

The Beta Program as a whole will end when StrideVoice designates general commercial availability of the Services or discontinues the program, whichever comes first. We will give Beta Customers reasonable advance notice of the program ending and the option (but not the obligation) to convert to a paid subscription.

On termination: your access to the Services ends, the data export window in the DPA begins, and Sections 8, 9, and 12 of this Beta Agreement survive.

12. Disclaimers and Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED DURING THE BETA PERIOD “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS, AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY IN SECTIONS 13 AND 14 OF THE TERMS OF SERVICE APPLY IN FULL, AND YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WHERE NO FEES HAVE BEEN PAID, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY CAP IN SECTION 14 OF THE TERMS OF SERVICE IS ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).

Without limiting the foregoing, StrideVoice is not liable for missed calls, missed or incorrect appointments, inaccurate AI statements, or business outcomes during the Beta Period. Your oversight obligations in Section 6 exist precisely because prerelease AI systems make mistakes.
