Low-risk by design. You stay in control.
Three steps. You decide when StrideVoice picks up. Most contractors start with after-hours only, then expand as trust builds.
Tell StrideVoice about your business
Fill out a preference template — service area, pricing guidance, emergency protocol, and FAQs your customers actually ask. Upload it once, and your receptionist knows your business the way a longtime office manager would.
Forward your calls + flip the toggle
Keep your number. Keep your carrier. Forwarding takes about 60 seconds — on Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile, we walk you through the exact dial code. Then turn StrideVoice on only when you want: after hours, weekends, or on the job. You answer the rest.
StrideVoice answers — you get a text summary
Every call StrideVoice handles turns into a text on your phone: who called, what they needed, what was booked or escalated. No voicemails to return. No cold leads lost. No bad handoffs.
What your receptionist handles.
Pre-loaded with hvac-specific call flows, terminology, and triage logic — so you don't train it from scratch.
What a typical HVAC call looks like.
Pulled from the same triage logic your receptionist runs on every call — built from HVAC call patterns, not invented.
AC blowing warm air, system 4 years old
triaged as urgent same-day, capacitor or refrigerant suspected, booked Tuesday 9 AM
No AC, 110° outside, infant in the home
flagged as emergency, vulnerable-occupant priority, dispatched to the on-call line immediately
Gas smell from the furnace, caller dizzy
advised 911 + utility evacuation first, contractor follow-up logged after the safety clear
Emergencies get instant attention.
StrideVoice flags emergencies and alerts you immediately with a priority call transfer or SMS — even when the toggle is off for routine calls.
HVAC questions, answered.
Will it know the difference between a refrigerant call and a thermostat call?
Yes. The first qualifier is always “what is the issue?” — no cooling, no heating, strange noise, water leak, burning smell, or system won’t start. From there it captures system type (split, package, mini-split, heat pump), age, and when the problem started before classifying. A thermostat-not-responding call goes routine; warm air with the system running goes urgent same-day.
Can it handle a no-AC emergency on a 115° day?
Yes. Any “no AC” call when outdoor temp is over 100°F is flagged as an emergency, and the vulnerable-occupant question (elderly, infant, medically vulnerable) bumps priority. Depending on your protocol, it transfers to your on-call line or schedules same-day with priority dispatch — your call.
What does it say when a caller asks for a price?
It quotes Phoenix-market ranges — capacitor $150–$300, refrigerant recharge $200–$500, full AC replacement $5,000–$12,000+ — then says a tech needs to confirm on-site. It never gives a hard quote over the phone.
What happens if a caller smells gas or hears the CO alarm?
Life-safety calls go to 911 and the utility first, not to you. The receptionist gives evacuation instructions, directs them to call 911 or the gas company, and logs the contractor follow-up for after the immediate threat is handled — because you can’t fix what the utility hasn’t cleared yet.
Does it handle Spanish-speaking callers?
Yes. The Spanish receptionist is included — same triage logic, same booking flow, same emergency escalation. Available 24/7 just like the English line.
of inbound calls to home-service contractors go unanswered — and 85% of those callers never call back.

Built so your customers stay yours.
Most AI answering services bury what they do. StrideVoice puts disclosure, the way out, and how we handle data up front. Here's the whole stack.
Always identified as AI
StrideVoice tells every caller it's an AI assistant in the first sentence. No tricks, no spoofing your voice, no pretending to be a human.
Recording disclosed up front
Calls are recorded so you can listen back. Callers are told before the conversation starts, every time, in the language they're speaking.
Always a way out
Any caller can ask for a human. StrideVoice texts you immediately and offers the caller an alternate number or callback window — your choice.
Card numbers automatically scrubbed
Credit card numbers, CVVs, and SSNs are automatically removed from every transcript before storage. Callers needing to pay are routed to a secure Stripe link, not the agent.
Privacy-first by default. We don't sell data, ever. Full DPA available before signup.
