2. Types of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Sites to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. They are typically set in response to actions you take (such as logging in or completing a payment) and do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for the service to work.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sv_cookie_consent | StrideVoice | Remembers your cookie consent choice (accept all or essential only) so the banner does not reappear on every visit. | 1 year |
| sb-* | StrideVoice (Supabase Auth) | Maintains your authenticated session in the customer dashboard (console.stridevoice.com). Set only when you sign in. | Session / refresh cycle |
| __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention and session handling for payment processing. Set only on dashboard billing and checkout pages that load Stripe. | 1 year / 30 minutes |
2.2 Analytics Cookies
We do not set analytics cookies. Neither stridevoice.com nor console.stridevoice.com uses Google Analytics or any other cookie-based analytics or tracking service. If we measure aggregate site traffic, we do so with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that is cookieless, does not fingerprint devices, and does not track visitors across sites. If we ever introduce cookie-based analytics, we will update this policy and request consent where required before setting such cookies.
2.3 Functional Cookies
We do not currently set separate functional cookies. Interface preferences in the customer dashboard (such as theme and display density) are stored in your browser’s local storage instead — see Section 5.
2.4 Advertising / Targeting Cookies
StrideVoice does not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies on stridevoice.com. If we introduce targeted advertising in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent before setting such cookies.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our Sites are set by third-party services we use:
- Stripe: Our payment processor (Stripe) sets cookies during checkout and billing flows for fraud detection and session management. These are strictly necessary for payment processing and appear only on dashboard pages that load Stripe.
- Supabase:Our authentication provider sets session cookies (prefixed “sb-”) when you sign in to the customer dashboard. These are strictly necessary for authentication.
- Cloudflare: Our CDN and security provider (Cloudflare) may set cookies for security and performance purposes, such as bot mitigation and load balancing.
Third-party cookies are governed by those third parties’ own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review those policies for more information.
4. Managing Cookies
You have several options for controlling cookies:
4.1 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through your browser settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are set and delete individual cookies;
- Block third-party cookies;
- Block all cookies from specific sites;
- Block all cookies entirely.
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the customer dashboard (console.stridevoice.com) and completing purchases. The marketing site (stridevoice.com) will remain accessible.
Browser-specific instructions for managing cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
4.2 Opt-Out of Analytics
Because we do not use cookie-based analytics, there is nothing to opt out of at the cookie level. Any aggregate traffic measurement we perform uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no personal identifiers.
5. Local Storage and Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, StrideVoice may use other browser-based storage technologies to support the Sites:
- Local Storage:The customer dashboard stores interface preferences in your browser’s local storage — for example, your theme choice, display density, recent command-palette entries, and which onboarding banners you have dismissed. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to our servers with each request, and none of it is used for tracking. It persists until explicitly cleared by you or by our application code.
- Session Storage: Similar to local storage, but data is cleared when you close your browser tab. May be used for temporary state during multi-step flows such as onboarding or checkout.
These technologies serve similar purposes to cookies and can be managed through your browser settings. Clearing your browser data will remove both cookies and local/session storage data.
6. Cookie Consent
When you first visit our Sites, we present a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept all cookies or keep essential cookies only. Because we do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies, the practical difference today is minimal — but your choice is stored and will be honored if non-essential cookies are ever introduced. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the Sites to function.
Your cookie preferences are stored and respected across subsequent visits. You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the Sites, at which point the consent banner will reappear.
StrideVoice does not sell personal information collected through cookies, and we do not use cookies for analytics, profiling, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing activity not be tracked. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. StrideVoice does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. If a standard is established, we will update our practices accordingly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy to stridevoice.com/cookie-policy with a revised “Last updated” date. If we make material changes to how we use cookies (for example, if we begin using advertising cookies), we will provide notice through our Sites or by email. Continued use of the Sites after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance.
